With only two exceptions, until she was 24 years old, she never saw the inside of any church unless it was either Baptist or Methodist. She thanks God for praying parents and grandparents, and for her early upbringing in church, but sad to say, she spent most of her young adult life ignoring God, eventually seeking freedom from Christianity through the pursuit of atheism. But the righteous are blessed and their seed [children/grandchildren/descendants], and God,a kind and merciful God did not allow her to commit herself to an eternity without him.
She simply obeyed.
The result of that visit, was a relationship she developed with one of the elderly members of that congregation...which led to the writing of her first book, Redemption: Bible Prophecy Simplified.
When God unexpectedly called her into street ministry, in 1999, he had already fully prepared her for it (although she did not realize it at the time), and she went forth with only the Holy Spirit as her covering. He was always enough. She asked no one’s permission to obey God. And for two years, often through great adversity, she was called "Pastor" by those who attended her meetings every Sunday morning, at Lake Silver Park in Winter Haven, FL.
And there was always music. My, how the lord ministered through her songs and that second-hand guitar.
She witnessed sin-hardened, homeless addicts begin to hunger for God, and for something better than the hopeless lives they were living.
